When people only see your decisions, who sees you?

There is a particular distance that responsibility creates. Over time, people come to know us through the direction we provide and the judgment we demonstrate. They see the decision, not the reflection that preceded it. This is not concealment. It is what happens when trust turns our composure into an expectation. I'm curious whether others have found a way to remain visible as a person — not only as a role — among the people who depend on them. Where does that visibility live, if it lives anywhere at all?
