Governance
The practical governance structure that holds the institution. These are readable summaries — full policies are available where required.
01
Soma Salus is a private institution providing confidential, human-led environments for people carrying sustained responsibility. It is not therapy, counselling, coaching, executive education, group therapy, a wellness platform, or a social network. It does not provide medical, clinical, or therapeutic services. If professional support is needed, Soma Salus refers participants to qualified external professionals.
02
Contributions are expected to be thoughtful, relevant, and respectful. Soma Salus is self-selecting through quality — not through exclusion, but through the natural consequence of maintaining a high standard of discourse. Participants who cannot meet these standards are gently removed. No selling, no advertising, no solicitation, no external recruitment, no medical or therapeutic advice. Participants respect pseudonymity and maintain confidentiality.
03
Participants contribute under a chosen pseudonym. This allows honest discourse without exposure. Legal identity is verified privately by Soma Salus and is never displayed publicly. Pseudonyms are registered, held to participation standards, and protected against enumeration. No public member directory exists. No public legal identities or professional profiles are displayed.
04
Every Circle, Chamber, and Intensive is overseen by experienced Guardians. Guardians are professionals who hold the quality of the environment, ensure that conversations remain constructive, and intervene when standards are not met. Guardians may pin, clarify, close, lock, remove, issue warnings, restrict contribution access, or remove Chamber access. Guardianship is a role, not a title.
05
Chamber discussions are governed. Guardians lightly oversee discourse, intervene when standards are not met, and maintain an audit trail of moderation actions. Verified contributors may create permitted discussions, reply, edit briefly after posting, withdraw their own contribution, and report content. No likes, voting, follower counts, rankings, direct messaging, or reaction emojis.
06
What is shared within a Circle remains within the Circle. Sessions are never recorded. Participants are expected not to record, screenshot, or externally reproduce any content shared. Confidentiality in Circles is not a feature — it is the structural foundation that makes honest conversation possible. Violations are treated with the utmost seriousness.
07
Soma Salus is not a crisis service. Guardians are trained to recognise when a participant may need professional support — whether therapeutic, medical, or legal — and to facilitate an appropriate referral. The institution maintains a network of qualified external professionals for this purpose. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility within the institution.
08
Concerns can be raised through a secure reporting system — through the contact form (selecting 'Report a concern') or directly through a Guardian. All reports are reviewed by Operations and handled with discretion. The process is transparent to the person raising the concern, without exposing internal notes or risk labels. Retaliation is prohibited.
09
Participants who violate participation standards may be warned, restricted, suspended, or removed. Suspensions and removals are decided by human review — never automatically. The participant is informed of the reason and the duration, where appropriate. Appeal is available. Audit trails are maintained for all such actions.
10
Organisations that sponsor participation do not receive personal disclosures, Circle conversation summaries, private Guardian notes, individual reflections, or psychological reports. A strict confidentiality firewall separates enterprise sponsorship from participant disclosures. Only aggregate participation insights are shared where contractually appropriate. Sponsors cannot identify individual participants or access their content.
11
Soma Salus is governed by people. Technology enables operations — scheduling, routing, moderation support — but never replaces human judgment. Nothing appears automated to participants. Decisions about people are made by people. The institution is designed so that technology serves the work, not the other way around.
12
Artificial intelligence assists behind the scenes with spam and solicitation detection, administrative routing, content organisation, internal summarisation, Guardian preparation, and scheduling support. AI must not replace Guardians, diagnose participants, act as a therapist, autonomously approve applications, automatically remove participants without human review, provide enterprise sponsors with individual psychological analysis, or create participant-facing emotional conclusions. AI is not prominent in the public identity of the institution.
13
No surveillance. No data selling. No advertising. No behavioural tracking for commercial purposes. Participant data is held with a Swiss-bank mentality — collected only when necessary, used only for the purpose for which it was given, and never shared without explicit consent. Consent versions are logged. Data deletion and export are available. Full details are in the Privacy Centre.
14
Circle sessions, Chamber discussions, and Intensive conversations are never recorded. Participants are prohibited from recording, screenshotting, or externally reproducing any content shared within the environment. This is a structural protection, not a suggestion. Soma Salus does not claim that screenshots are technically impossible — it relies on trust, governance, and consequence.
15
Soma Salus maintains Terms of Use, a Privacy Notice, Cookie Policy, Participation Standards, Chamber Rules, Circle participation terms, Intensive terms, and a disclaimer that Soma Salus is not emergency, medical, or therapeutic care. These documents are available separately and are updated with version history and change notes where appropriate.
